1. Acceptance of Terms

By entering any Crown Pawn Shop location, using our website at crownpawn.com, or engaging in any transaction with Crown Pawn, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or website.

These Terms of Service apply to all customers, visitors, and users of Crown Pawn's physical locations and digital properties. Crown Pawn reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Our Services

Crown Pawn operates licensed pawn shops across South Florida and provides the following services:

• Pawn Loans: Short-term collateral-based loans secured by personal property. The item is held by Crown Pawn for the duration of the loan.
• Buying: Purchase of pre-owned items including jewelry, electronics, instruments, vehicles, and more.
• Selling: Retail sale of pre-owned and new merchandise at our store locations.
• Vehicle Loans: Pawn loans secured by motorcycles, cars, and other vehicles held as collateral at our facility.
• Appraisals: Professional evaluation of jewelry, diamonds, and luxury items by certified appraisers.

All services are subject to applicable Florida state law, store policies, and the availability of inventory or loan capacity at the time of the transaction.

3. Pawn Transactions

When you pawn an item at Crown Pawn, the following terms apply:

• You must be the legal owner of the item or have legal authority to pledge it as collateral.
• Crown Pawn will hold your item for the duration of the loan period as specified in the pawn ticket.
• To reclaim your item, you must repay the principal loan amount plus applicable interest and fees within the agreed loan period.
• If the loan is not redeemed within the statutory grace period under Florida law, Crown Pawn acquires full ownership of the item.
• Loan amounts are determined at the sole discretion of Crown Pawn based on current market value, condition, and demand.
• Interest rates and fees are disclosed at the time of the transaction and comply with Florida Statute § 538.06.

Crown Pawn is not responsible for damage to items resulting from normal storage conditions. Items are stored securely at our facilities.

4. Purchases & Sales

When selling items to Crown Pawn or purchasing items from our stores:

• All sales to Crown Pawn are final. Crown Pawn reserves the right to decline any item for purchase.
• Sellers must provide valid government-issued photo identification at the time of sale.
• Items purchased from Crown Pawn are sold "as-is" unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of sale.
• Crown Pawn does not offer refunds or exchanges on purchased merchandise unless required by Florida law.
• Prices for items purchased from Crown Pawn are set at the store's discretion and are non-negotiable unless otherwise agreed.

5. Eligibility

To conduct any transaction with Crown Pawn, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Present a valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport).
• Provide a valid fingerprint as required by Florida Statute § 538.04.
• Not be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.
• Have legal ownership or authority over any item brought in for pawn or sale.

Crown Pawn reserves the right to refuse service to any individual at its sole discretion.

6. Prohibited Items & Conduct

Crown Pawn does not accept the following items:

• Stolen, counterfeit, or fraudulently obtained property.
• Firearms, ammunition, or explosive devices.
• Controlled substances or drug paraphernalia.
• Items with removed or altered serial numbers.
• Items belonging to minors.

The following conduct is strictly prohibited at all Crown Pawn locations:

• Providing false or misleading information during any transaction.
• Threatening, harassing, or intimidating staff or other customers.
• Attempting to pawn or sell items known to be stolen.
• Any conduct that violates local, state, or federal law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Crown Pawn shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
• Loss of value of pawned items due to market fluctuations during the loan period.
• Damage to items resulting from pre-existing conditions not disclosed at the time of pawn.
• Any errors or omissions in appraisal values provided by our staff.

Crown Pawn's total liability for any claim arising from a transaction shall not exceed the loan amount or purchase price of the item in question.

8. Florida Pawn Law Compliance

Crown Pawn operates in full compliance with the Florida Pawnbroking Act (F.S. Chapter 538). Key provisions include:

• § 538.04: All pledgors must provide valid ID and a thumbprint at the time of transaction.
• § 538.06: Maximum interest rates and service charges are set by Florida law.
• § 538.09: Pawn transactions are reported daily to local law enforcement.
• § 538.16: A mandatory holding period applies before pawned items can be resold.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Broward County, Florida.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on crownpawn.com, including but not limited to text, images, logos, graphics, and design, is the property of Crown Pawn and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this website without prior written permission from Crown Pawn.
